Styrian Goldings Hops

Despite the name, Styrian Goldings hops are closely related to Fuggles, not East Kent Goldings. Styrian Goldings give beer a dinstinctive yet mildly bitter flavour, a bit richer than the Kent Goldings variety.


  • Typical Use : Bittering, Aroma
  • Alpha Acid : 3.5 to 7% AAU
  • Origination : Slovenia
  • Commercial Examples : Ind Coope's Burton Ale, Timothy Taylor's Landlord
  • Characteristics : Similar to Fuggles
  • Styles : Widely used in Belgian ales and some British ales
  • Similar Hops : Fuggles, Willamette
