European Brewing Convention

521 bytes added, 19:29, 4 July 2006
* The European Brewing Convention, or EBC color method was developed in Europe for measuring the color of Malts and beers. The method uses comparison between a sample material and standard color to determine color at the same frequency of light as is used in the SRM method.
* To convert from EBC to the more popular SRM or Lovibond color units, the follow formula is correct for lightly colored malts and beers:
:: SRM * 1.97 = EBC
