Head

Revision as of 16:24, 4 July 2006 by BeerSmith (Talk | contribs)

  • The term Head refers to the bubbly layer of foam at the top of a freshly poured beer. Head is formed by rising carbon dioxide bubbles in the beer that combine with substances on the surface of the beer to produce tiny bubbles. Head Retention or the long term stability of the foam is an important objective for many beer styles.
